To Kill A Mockingbird

The medics eye brow went even futher up his fore head.
"Righttttttttttttttttttttt...."

Glancing at the medic, Carlos nodded and explained that Leiard was the cause of all this (though he obviously didn't expect them to believe him.)

The medic raised an eyebrow at Carlos' actions.
"Something wrong?"

Carlos' heart sank as he listened to Leiard. Clearly fearful of the adult, Carlos tried to hide himself.

People stopped Leiard as he walked onto the scene, but the man, as Carlos had dreaded, smoothed everything over with a rather large lie, though the words spilled from his mouth naturally.
Clearly the adult was a very good actor when he needed to be.

Carlos continued to sit quietly, though as he looked up and noticed that Leiard was nearing the scene. He couldn't help but panic over the thought that Leiard may lie to get his hands back on the dark haired boy.

Grinning he made he way towards the scene.

Despite his worries on wether his friend was safe or not, the dark haired male sat in the back of the ambulance and stayed silent as he tried to make it seem like he wasn't there at all.

Leiard was watching the whole sequence of events unfold from a near by attic, smirking as the people paniced and tried to find him.

Carlos merely sat quietly, his gaze upon the floor. His mind was swirling with thoughts all muddled up due to the recent drama. But one question was in his mind; where was Leiard? And why hadn't he come back down when they were in the lab?

After a few minutes the medic turned around and noticed Skye was no longer in the ambulance, he cursed and picked up his phone calling the police.

Knowing not to get involved, Carlos stayed silent and didn't raise the alarm of Skye's escape.

Skye felt dreadful and just looked back to the floor. His mind racing faster than his heart currently was. Manging to stand whilst the medics back was turned he stumbled and ran away as fast as he could. Not wanting anyone else to get involved who didn't need to.

Glancing at his friend, a look of terror in his eyes, he muttered; "It's fine." before wiping away some blood from his neck.

Skye looked up at Carlos nervously "I-I... I sorry.. sorry you involved...."
He clearly felt very bad about it, if Carlos hadn't met him this wouldn't have happened.

The boy stayed silent as he sat down in the ambulance, he stared at the ground still not willing to believe what had happened after he had trusted Leiard for such a long time.

A medic helped Carlos up into the back of the ambulance whilst the head master placed Skye down on the bed.

Carlos was still shaking, he sweat covered hair dangled in front of his face and small amounts of blood ran down the back of his neck from where he had been hit with a chair.

"I shouldn't have done it..."
Putting a hand on Carlos' back gently he lead him up and out of the house and towards the ambulance.

Carlos didn't say a word, he just stared at the ground and stayed silent.

"You can both go in the ambulance" the head master said as he bent down and lifted Skye up "There's enough room to sort the two of you out.. I'm sorry I asked you to come here..."

Glancing back at Skye, he knew that Skye would need more medical attention than himself. "H-he needs t-the ambulance more..." Carlos' muttered shakily.

"There's an ambulance outside, did you get hurt at all?" he asked "And how about Skye"
Looking past Carlos the man realised that the young boy wasn't in the best of states. His eyes were shut tightly and he was muttering in a strange language in a paniced and pained voice.

Taking a deep breath shakily, Carlos nodded in understanding.

The man gave Carlos a seirious look "You're going to need to talk to someone about it sooner or later, you do know that don't you..."
