To Kill A Mockingbird

"Well... it's ... kind of my home" She smiled "I live there with alot of other people who I take care of."

Carlos kept close to the red head, hoping to make him feel more comfortable. As he looked at the large building in front of them, he glanced at the woman and asked if the building was her home.

Skye was now walking alongside Carlos nervously.

Eventually the three arrived outside of a large building.

Carlos didn't know exactly why he trusted the woman, for all he knew she could be working for Leiard. No... She's too nice Carlos thought to himself as he continued to follow her quietly.

Skye followed Carlos, not wanting to be left on his own.

Glancing at his red head friend, the older boy merely shrugged and began to follow the woman. Right now, anyone was better than being near Leiard.

Sighing the woman told the two to follow her as he walked off.
Skye was utterly confused and wondered if it was safe.

Carlos really didn't know what to say; he knew if he was to explain anything that had happened, he would sound insane. The older boy kept quiet and stared at the ground.

"Are you two ok?" The lady looked concerned.
Her hair tied back in a bun and small bits of hair lay across her face before she brushed them away. She wore a skirt and a white shirt as well as a dinner jacket.

The sound of the womans voice shocked Carlos, he turned to look at her.
"Uhh..."

The woman walked towards them.
"What're you two doing out on your own at this time?" she asked

Carlos still panicked, occassionally running his fingers through his messy hair.

Sighing Skye looked around and noticed a lady looking at the two of them.

Despite the young red heads efforts, Carlos continued to panic. "We don't even know where we are!"

Skye looked up at the older boy and tried to calm him down.

Carlos actually looked terrified. He hadn't lived in the city long and had no idea where he was. He began to panic.

The two were sat in the centre of the city, a few people stared but no-one stopped.

Carlos actually had no idea where they were, catching his breath, he looked around the area.

((*just imagines them getting taken to an orphanage*))

Eventually the two were hours away from where they had been.
Skye slumped down shaking, mainly from fear but also exhaustion.

Watching these events with a look of amazement, Carlos didn't struggle to keep up with his friend as they ran.

Looking down at the needle that had been set down beside him, Skye plucked up the courage to grab it and stab his brother in the back before hopping off of the slab, grabbing Carlos and running as fast as he could.

The teenager continued to glare, willing to stand his ground.
