Skye got up, walked down and started to mix some drinks, he got the feeling it wasn't only him that would need one before long.

"Downstairs in the cupboard behind the sofa..." Carlos muttered, still upset by what he had said.

"It. Doesn't" the red head sighed and stood up "Where're the drinks?"

"It does matter..." The older man muttered, crossing his legs and leaning his head into one hand.

"doesn't matter..." the red head sat up and streched

Glancing at Skye, he realised what he said might have been offensive. "... I don't mean it in that way." Carlos said quickly.

The red head felt hurt hearing this, he just nodded numbly.

"It's not a big problem..." Carlos said, sitting up properly and wiping the tears away from his eyes. "It's nothing you can help with anyway."

"Telling someone is better is better than keeping it all in you know..."

Carlos merely shook his head and tried to stop himself from crying anymore. "It's n-nothing..."

He heard a small sob from Carlos.
"shushhhh....." the red head continued to try and comfort Carlos "What's wrong...."

Carlos thought about this for a while; thinking of all the people he knew and what it would be like if he hadn't met them. But then he began to think about wether his parents hadn't died, and what life would be like then. A small tear slid down his face and he began to sniff, trying to cry as quietly as he could.

"Neither have I" Skye smiled softly as he continued to stroke Carlos' hair "It's why I act like such an annoying prat. But look at it this way, if the things that had happened to you hadn't happened you wouldn't have met who you know, you wouldn't be who you are"

Carlos slowly began to become slightly more depressed than happy.
"Yeah... But I never had a chance to be a proper kid..."

Chuckling Skye kissed Carlos.
"You're meant to be the older one"

"Yeah... But... It helps..." He said with smile, stretching slightly to give Skye a quick kiss.

He blinked.
"Thank-you?... what for... I was only telling the truth..."

A smile spread across Carlos' lips as he snuggled closer to Skye's chest. "Thank you." Carlos whispered, stroking Skye's chest lightly.

He chuckled whilst gently stroking Carlos' hair.
"You're very handsome Carlos... you just need more confidence" he whispered.

Carlos' face reddened as he stared down at the younger male. "Y-you like the view? As in... You like staring up at me?" Clearly shocked by this as he'd only ever been complemented on his looks by Becki. Not waiting for an answer, he began to relax as he laid down on top of Skye resting his head on his chest.

"I quite like the view I get from here" the red head grinned.

Carlos now looked bemused again. "Not gonna put up a fight?"
