Drunken dreams

"Don't worry" the feline smiled at him.
After a few minutes Ruth welcomed Carlos into her home.

Glancing over his shoulder, he smiled nervously embarrassed about making such an obvious mistake. "...Thanks..."

The feline chuckled as she went behind Carlos, gently putting her hands on the mans shoulders she led him in the correct direction.

Happy and relieved that this was the answer he received, he continued to lead the way despite having no idea which direction to go in.

Sighing she eventually agreed to let Carlos go home with her. Hoping that nothing would come of the two spending the night in the same house.
At least they weren't arguing for once though, it was a pleasant change.

Encouraging her slightly, he continued to smile hoping to persuade her. The main reason he wanted to go to hers was because he was far too drunk to make it back to his home.

"um...."
She wasn't too sure that was a good idea remembering what had happened last time they'd gotten drunk together.

Smiling back, a hint of drunkness showing.
"It's no problem. How's about I take ya home?"

The feline smiled slightly at Carlos.
"Thanks...."

Rubbing Ruth's back gently,he continued to try and cheer her up.

The gesture somewhat shocked the feline, she hadn't expected Carlos to do that. Her ears remained drooped as she looked at the floor and sighed.

A feeling in Carlos' mind told him that Ruth was slightly more depressed than he had first anticipated. "Cheer up a bit." He said calmly, pulling her closer to him.

((Nahh don't worry I won't spoil this one. It sounds like a lovely little RP. XD I probably won't barge on this one. XD I wouldn't know who to bring in anyway. X3))

Letting him lead she wondered how she was going to get out of this one, she was clearly quite depressed.

Carlos smiled and wrapped one arm around the feline gently. "C'mon, we can go for a walk for a while. Might clear your mind a bit." He said as he began to lead the way.

The feline knew that so much more could happen, but if Carlos was around she couldn't do what she planned. Yet she didn't have the heart to tell him he couldn't come with her.

He shook his head and stretched his arms out. "She's probably having a nice night in without me. Besides, the night is young. There's so much more that could happen."

"You ought to head home to Becki" She told him with a small smile

Standing up as well, stumbling and almost falling over the bar counter, he grinned crookedly. "Maybe I could help." He offered after downing the rest of his drink in one and letting out a small burp.

"You're more than welcome" the feline smiled at him "but, if you'll excuse me I've got something I want to do"
Putting the glass down on the table she stood up trying not to stumble. Thoughts of suicide still running through her head.

"Well, thank you." He slurred, taking a rather large swig of his drink this time. "I'm glad you think that." He said, more expecting her to agree with him when he called himself a coward.

She chuckled weakly and looked back at her drink "You're no coward" she told him.
"I've seen cowards, and you don't fit into that category."

Smiling at her, he repeated what he had said in simpler terms; "It just means I'm a coward." If he were sober, he would've never have called himself a coward. Instead, he would have diverted around the subject to try and make him seem a lot more brave than he was.

She raised an eyebrow and looked at Carlos.

A broad smile was now on the mans face as he spoke. "That's why I'm proud to be a conscientious objector." Clearly proud of himself for using such a long word whilst drunk.
