Apocalypse Now

Following his friend outside quickly, the older male grabbed a decent weapon on the way out; A shotgun. Despite his fear, he was eager to see what was going on.

"I... It wasn't..." the red head ran outside knowing exactly what it was and wondering who could be doing it.

Leaning back against the wall, the older male tried to catch his breath between coughs. "Wh-what the heck was that noise?" He asked in a slightly panicked voice.

Hearing the noise Skye dropped Carlos to the floor blinking and shaking his head.

Beyond the borders of the safehouse, screams... horrible guttural screams could be heard... so loud that despite the range of the shield of the house, they could hear them as closely as if they were right next to them.

They were indeed the screams of demons, and they were dying. Slash wounds. But made by an irregular sword.

Grimacing he sheathed his sword, a freak of nature in itself, but the owner even more odd against the landscape. A shimmery silver elbow length tangle, courtesy of no hair cut for ten years, and at the ends slightly faded purple. His clothes were faded too, a brown chest pattern with gold v's on it lay below a slightly tattered pair of black trouser and red converse, still pristeen but heavily worn. Rolling his eyes at the demons screaming in pain, he put his cloak of invisibility back over him and dissapeared into the night.

"Don't push me Carlos" The red heads eyes slowly changed their colour to black.
Curling his hand into a fist it gave Carlos the feeling of someone tightening their grasp around his throat.

Wincing slightly, the older man glared at his friend before smiling. "You're gonna have to do better than that if you want to know." Carlos seemed to believe that people had to work to receive information.

Using all the strength he could muster, with his magic, he lifted Carlos up and slammed him into a wall. His temper had gotten slightly worse over the time he'd spent with the demons.
"TELL ME" He roared angrily.

Looking up at his friend, he frowned and replied with a simple no.

Growling Skye made his way over to Carlos.
"Tell. Me. What's. Wrong."

Carlos didn't bother to deny his friend. "If you wanna say that..." He shrugged.

"That's because you're a stubborn git"

"I'm sorry... But you should know me well enough now to know I don't like talking about my feelings." He said apologetically.

This hurt the red head alot. Sighing he made his best attempt at standing.

Smiling slightly at his friend, he still denied the idea of saying how he felt to him.

"I can't feel anyworse than I already am" he smiled weakly.

Shaking his head, he looked up and smiled slightly. "Thanks for the other, but I'd rather not depress others."

"You can talk to me... you know that..."

"Everything..." He muttered, slightly muffled as he held his head in his hands once again.

Sitting up Skye asked what Carlos meant.

Shaking his head, he raised it and rubbed his face. "I can't take this anymore..."

Peeking over at Carlos.
"Wha.. what's wrong..."

Walking back into the room where his red head friend lay, the older male slumped down on a chair and held his head in his hands.

Skye had heard everything that had gone on in the room above where he sat. Sighing he curled up and hoped everything would just end. He'd given up completely on anything, he had no reason to continue living, not one that he wanted anyway...

Grumbling insults about his friend, he stomped out of the door slamming it on the way out. Taking a deep breath, he began walking back downstairs.
