Christmas Time

Ruffling Thalia's hair, he smiled and pushed the present into her hands gently. "At Christmas everyone get's presents. So you deserve one as much as everyone else."

Thalia tiled her head and asked the green haired man what he meant.

Carlos shook his head at the people around him. "I don't want anything. I've got everything I need anyway."

Skye raised an eyebrow as Al smiled at him, he wasn't used to that.

"Nothing?" She said raising her eyebrow. "Well we will just have to get you something anyway!" She said, smiling at Skye. This was a first, but since it was Christmas she wanted to hold up her side of the whole "no arguments thing".

Raver sat and shook some of the presents, trying to guess what was in them.

The small red head tugged on Carlos' sleeve.
"There must be something"

Glancing at the girl who had sat next to him, he raised an eyebrow. He wasn't used to this kind of attitude coming from her, though he decided to let it pass as Christmas was the only time he could fully relax. Shrugging in response to her question, he replied with a simple; "Nothing."

Al walked over, moved a few presents over to make room, she sat by him.
"So Carlos....what were you wanting for Christmas this year"? She asked, smiling.

Rolling his eyes at the two males squabbling over which meat would be best for the Christmas dinner, Carlos rose to his feet and stretched (letting out a huge yawn as he did so). Making the effort of standing up seem totally pointless, he slumped back down next to the tree.

Bryan, Trent, Angie, and Eilis waved to Al. "Hello, Alice!" Angie called out. "I hope there'll be some vegetarian food here, too." Trent said, since he and Eilis are both vegetarians. "It's probably turkey." Bryan said as he licked his lips.

Christmas was Al's favorite holiday, and she thought it should be everyone's favorite holiday. Maybe it was the presents, maybe it was the warm fire and the bright decorations, or maybe it was just spending time with everyone she loved. She scanned around the room, Carlos, Raver, Ruth and Skye were here, Bryan, Trent, and even her best friend, Alan, with those people, her day would be a happy one. Only if some violent argument didn't break out, which was usually very likely.
"But its Christmas." she thought to herself, so with any luck, they might stop bickering for at least five minutes to celebrate. The sudden shouting outside, made her give a sigh of exasperation.
"Can't you two just agree?" she said, folding her arms, and glaring slightly as Jakk and Recel trudged through the front door, twigs and leaves snapping off in the door frame as they came in.
Alan pulled a puzzled expression. "Whoever heard of having pork for Christmas? I thought you had Christmas pudding..."
Al giggled. Christmas with these friends, was always eventful.

The little black haired boy in the corner scoffed at Carlos' attempts to keep Thalia's innocence for another year. He knew very well "Santa" was whoever could be assed to get up at 3 AM and put the presents under the tree, he didn't mind though, he woulnd't ruin it for his sister as he saw his own present labeled. "To Shan, from Santa"

He looked out at the window to see Recel and Jakk arguing over what would make a better christmas dinner as they lugged firewood through the snowy yard.

"I SAY PORK ABCAGE!"

"YEAH?! WELL I SAY TURKEY!" Jakk replied, sticking his tongue out as if that settled the matter.

Glancing at Bryan and Trent for a moment, a smile on his face to match theirs, he looked back at the young girl in front of him.

Bryan and Trent, along with their wives Angie and Eilis, sat by the tree as well. Bryan helped himself to the egg nog. "Could use a little vodka in there," He grinned. Trent rolled his eyes at what Bryan said. Eilis and Angie admired the Christmas tree lights.

(I'm sorry if it looks crappy ^^; I haven't roleplayed since August. D8 )

Looking down at the young girl, he smiled and tucked his fringe behind his ears. Deciding against boring her with the religious side of it, he explained it in a more interesting way (from a childs point of view). "Christmas is when a guy called Santa brings presents for good kids like you." he said and reached behind the tree, pulling out a neatly wrapped gift with the girls name on it.

He couldn't help but laugh.

A small girl walked over to Carlos, her hair the same colour as the boys who was knelt down. She tugged on Carlos' sleeve.
"Uncleeeee..... whats christmas..."

In reply to Skyes comment, Carlos said plainly; "I'll grow up when I feel like it." Simply meaning - never.

Chuckling at the writing on Carlos' top as well as the older mans re-action he told Carlos that he needed to grow up a bit.

"It's Christmas. I want to open my bloody presents." He grumbled as he continued to fiddle with the present with his right hand. Unzipping his black leather jacket, he revealed a tight, short sleeved, black shirt with the words "If lost, please return to pub" written on it in bold white letters.

Skye chuckled and knelt down next to Carlos smiling slightly.
"You never can stay still can you...."
His red hair tied up neatly for once. He was wearing a long sleeved, tight, black polo neck jumper whilst his jeans were red skinny jeans.

The twinkling of christmas lights hanging on the tree and the windows created a warm feeling in the living room of the Burgundy household. The tree seemed to be covered in various decorations, under the tree piles of presents sat dormant awaiting some eager hands to rip open the wrapping paper and reveal what was hidden inside. Cards dominated the room; all of which wished the family a merry christmas.

Many of the chairs were occupied by various friends and even friends of friends. Some people were missing, so the guests continued to wait patiently. Aside from Carlos who sat by the bottom of the tree fiddling with one of the presents with his name written on a tag.
