Jurassic Hijinks

Letting out a deep sigh as the boy said his last name, he ran his slender fingers through his greasy hair. "Well, Skye?" He asked, contemplating telling everything to the young boy.

"U... umm..." Skye walked forward and knelt down so he was the same height as the child "What's your last name..?"
The boy looked slightly confused and wondered what was with all the question.
"... Bast..."

As soon as Carlos heard the child say his name, he glanced at the red head to see his reaction.

"So ... urh... who are you?" Skye asked the child somewhat, nervously.
The child looked at them both before answering.
"... My names Veltan..."

Edward seemed to smile and purr with happiness and nuzzled the young boy. Carlos just stared at the two of them, a slight look of disgust on his face.

Finally the child did as Carlos asked. He stood up and stroked Edward smiling slightly.

Carlos gave the red head and quick harsh glare to express his anger before looking back at the child. "...STOP LOOKING AT ME!"

Skye couldn't help but burst out laughing which he knew wasn't the brightest of ideas but he didn't really care. Carlos' outburst had been the funniest thing he'd seen in a long time.
The child merely blinked and looked at Carlos.

Clenching his fists tightly, Carlos began to explain in a yell; "We're only bloody here cos we trashed his bloody brothers lab!" He pointed at Skye. "And I don't exactly want to be here cos I'm terrified of animals and bugs and they're the only things around here! And guess what? THEY ARE ALL BIGGER THAN ME!"

The boy blinked, he hadn't expect Carlos to get angry.
"Shouldn't you be the one explaining?" He asked "You're the ones that clearly arn't from here"

The boy was now beginning to annoy Carlos, letting out a growl he glared at the boy. "Care to explain who you are and why exactly you're here?"

"Because you look different..."

Carlos crossed his arms and sighed deeply. "And why are you looking at us?"

"You" The boy said
He'd never seen anyone who looked similar to himself before.

Noticing the boy continued to stare, Carlos narrowed his eyes. "What are you looking at?"

"... nothing" he said quickly as he continued to eye the two of them up and down.

Glancing at his red head friend for a second, Carlos turned his attention back to the boy. "...What?" He asked, clearly concerned as to why the boy was staring at them both.

The boy had been watching the two intently.

"Thank you." The older male grumbled. Remembering that himself and his red head friend weren't the only people around, Carlos turned and looked at the boy and the dinosaur.

Skye noticed this and took it into account.
"Sorry..." he apologised before muttering something and causing Carlos to dry off almost instantaniously.

Carlos glared at his friend, his anger building. Meanwhile, Edward sat staring at the two with his head tilted.

"WOW?!? REALLY?!?!?" Skye acted astonished

Carlos spoke again, slightly louder than before; "I'll shut up..."

"Pardon? I couldn't quite hear that?"

The dark haired male merely crossed his arms and grumbled in reply to the red head.
