A father and his son

A tall figure stood in the doorway as the door swung open. "Have a good day?" The grinning man asked as he knelt down to the red heads height and pulled the hat off his head.

Stuffing his hands in his pockets the red head made his way back slowly, thinking about what he should've been doing in school that day. He was only 8 and had already perfected the art of skipping. Ten minutes passed before he reached his house. Raising a hand he knocked on the door.

((ooooh okay xDDD *dumb* ... OMG Carlos would be like... 28 *squeels*))

The father of this child was lucky enough to have a day off from work. He had used his day rather constructively in his opinion, setting up something special for his son in his room. Perfecting the final touches, a smile spread on the dark haired males face. Brushing his hair back with one hand, he walked out of the room and closed the door. His floorboards creaking as he went down the stairs, he awaited the return of his red head son.

It must’ve been at least 3 years since the accident. Sighing a young boy sat with a multi-coloured hat, one of the ones with ear flaps and a bobble on top, his hair red hair flicking our underneath it. His face was littered with freckles. The boy sat on the steps outside of a rather large school building. He wore dungarees, one of the straps hung loose around his knees but the other kept the trousers up. Underneath he wore a red t-shirt. In his hands he held a Game Boy Colour, Pokemon Blue was the game inserted in the back. Eventually a bell rang. Saving and turning off his game he stood up and stretched before heading out of the school. He saw no point in being there, he learnt nothing. He just had to lie to his dad about what he’d been doing during the day, again.
