Apocalypse Now

Harry winced and looked halfway at her with a little smile. He thought it only fair he apologise, but no point pressing the issue. However, he suddenly stopped, and his eyes widened, his hand slowly reaching for his sword, serpentine, with a fearful look in his eye.

The ginger haired lady shook her head "I don't need an apology"
Jess felt sorry for Carlos and hit Harry around the head for being cruel.

Harry waited patiently with a raised eyebrow, for him to do his half of the deal. "First drop the hate and treat me civilly. Second, apologise to Jess" he said, crossing his arms.

The males eyes widened as he heard his wife and childs names. "Are they alive? Where are they?" He asked in a very desperate manner.

"First you'll apologise to my friend" he said with a steely eye. "I have information on Becki and Alex, but frankly I have no reason to give it to you at all with the way you've treated me or her" he said with a dismissive glance at him. "As for you hating me... hate to be crude but, suck it up" he said with a rare glare. He was starting to piss him off, but he wouldn't let his temper take control.

Growling as he glared back at Harry, Carlos grumbled; "I don't have a grudge, I just hate you." He spoke his mind rather frequently and often got straight to the point. Changing the subject quickly and asked what information he had.

Tutting Harry sighed and stuck his hands in his pockets. "She chose you Carlos... I don't see why a grudge after all these years is neccesary... besides, I have information.. that you might like if you want to know.." he said, not trying to tempt him, but telling him what he needed to know. He was a person who didn't believe in holding grudges, he above anyone knew life was too short for that.

Glaring at the couple, Carlos quickly turned away. His arms not tightly crosses and his face seemed to wreak of anger. "I wouldn't be friendly to you if you were the last person alive."

"Honestly chagrin, if you can't figure out why she just slapped you, you've gotten stupider since I last met you" he said, his eyebrows contracting as he pulled Jess back and squeezed her hand comfortingly. He didn't have anything against Carlos, but he wasn't going to get away with insulting his friend. "Besides.. I think it's better if you try to remain somewhat friendly..." he said looking around warily, feeling another thermal, from the wrong direction.. and sudden vibrations in the ground too soft to be heard by untrained ears.

Stumbling back slightly, he rubbed his face. "Jeeze... What the hell was that for?!" He said, glaring at the woman in front of him. He really had no idea who this woman was, but either way he was more than happy to have an argument with here then get into a conversation involving Harry.

That was it, she was not going to be bad mouthed by some stranger, slipping down from the tree she walked over to Carlos and slapped him.
"HOW DARE YOU" she snarled.

Carlos merely rolled his eyes at Harry's comment. "Bet she's more than just a travelling partner..." He mumbled to himself, clearly uninterested in listening to a word that the two of them had to say.

"Well, luckily enough she doesn't bite hard. Like you at least Carlos". He said with a slight smile. "She's my companion, she travels with me.." he said, deciding not to go long windedly about his journey. "And I am very glad you're alright..." he said looking down seriously. "Not many people I know, and care about are still alive", he said with a slightly bitter smile.

Jess wondered how the dark haired man had been able to tell, there was something distinctly odd about the people that Harry was greeting as friends, well, at least one of them he greeted as a friend.

"Look.. just because he had someone with him doesn't mean he means harm...." Skye tried to explain to Carlos

Rather relieved to be ignored by someone who Carlos considered to the personification of annoyance, he turned away and began to sniff the air. The wind seemed to have blown revealing a host of new scents. Taking one more sniff, he glared at Harry. "There's someone else with you, isn't there?"

Harry spared a quick glance at Jess in the cloak and looked at Carlos closely. "It's quite amazing how you can hold a grudge Carlos. I mean really, I didn't expect you to be happy to see me, but that's a bit of an overreaction isn't it?" he said in reference to his clenched fists. He chose to then deliberately ignore him and pay attention to Skye. "How are you mate" he said embracing him like they did in the old days. "You do look terrible.. what's been happening on your end?"

The look Carlos gave him made him flinch and realise that Carlos would have seiriously killed Harry given half the chance.

Continuing to sneer and glare at the new arrival, the male crossed his arms and stayed silent, it was clear that the mere sight of this man made Carlos' blood boil. Glancing at his demon friend, his expression was enough to tell anyone that he didn't want to be there.

The black haired version of Skye merely blinked now more confused that he had been before. Folding his wings back up he looked at Harry then to Carlos. He'd never seen the pair together and it was clear they didn't get on too well at all.

Harry landed lightly on his feet and transformed back to his human form, giving a rougish grin and knocking the gun out of his hands in one fluid movement and aiming it back at him in another. "Good to see you too" he said, tapping his red converse lightly on the floor and springing back up to his full height. "You don't look too good either of you" he said brushing away his elbow length tangle, and chucking the gun to the side.

Instantly recognising the rather annoying tone of the voice, Carlos sneered and pointed his shotgun at the fox lazily. "Kill it."

Skye let out a small yelp and dropped the fox to the floor.

Harry finally chose to speak then, even if if THEY were a trap, he could fight them off, and run. Best plans generally had that part. "Ah chagrin, you never fail to amuse me" he said with a slight foxy grin, looking at skye he said "Hello matey. Remember me?"

"I guess.." Skye trailed off

"Familiar or not it's better off dead." He said with a slight growl as he changed back into his more recognizable human form. "Could be a trap."
