Zombies Unleashed

Skye blinked and was awfully glad he'd hidden the shot wound on his shoulder well. Shuddering Skye decided he'd try and sneak out during the night.

Smiling, the older male heaved himself up readying himself for going to bed. He was soon pushed back down by yet another man, this time it was a doctor. Glaring at his parents as they walked in, the dark haired male explain that it was no deal. But before he could continue, his dislocated bone was soon clicked back into place causing the boy to yell in pain. Growling his thanks through gritted teeth, the doctor soon left.

"ok... thanks" the red head gave the older male a rather small smile.

Sensing that neither of them really wanted to continue that conversation, Carlos glanced at the stair case for a while. "If you're gonna stay the night... Your room'll be straight up the stairs. The room right in front of you when you get to the top."

"Him obviously..."

Snorting, the older male couldn't help but smile slightly. "What kinda brother would do that?"

The red head merely nodded, to say the least, him and his elder brother had never gotten on too well.

This came to the male as a shock as he was used to a caring family. "... He left you out there?" He repeated, still not quite grasping why someone would do that.

"I wasn't looking for him... he... he left me out there...." he fell silent.

"Oh..." The male said, clearly regretting why he had asked. "So... You were out there looking for your brother, ...? Sorry, I don't know your name."

"... My mum and dad died 10 years ago.. my brother was looking after me... then... this all happened.. I havn't seen him since..."
The red head fell silent, he hated talking about it, he missed his parents alot.

Smiling slightly at the younger male, he lent his head to the side so it was resting on the palm of his hand. "I guess." He said, still smiling slightly. Keeping quiet for a few seconds, the male decided to ask; "Why were you on your own out there?"

The red head felt instantly sorry for the older man.
".. He might still be out there" he smiled weakly "I mean.. I survived there for two and a bit years... that's what you call a miracle, you never know..." the boy suddenly halted as he remembered something.
Shutting up he looked down at the floor.

Sighing slightly, the male pointed to some of the family photo's. "The fourth guy in those photo's... He's my older brother, Daniel." The person who the male had pointed out seemed to bare more resemblance to his father than Carlos did. "He used to take me out to find people out in those wastelands... One night we were coming back a little later than usual... We got ambushed... He held them off and told me to run... Haven't heard from him since." He now stared at the floor, clearly still upset about the incident. "That's why my parents don't like me being out too late... But... I just wanna be like him and help people find this place."

He nodded silently, his red fringe fell in front of his eyes causing him to brush it away.

The younger male apologised to his father, clearly upset by something. The older male accepted the apology and left the room. As the younger male glanced at the red head, he asked; "I'm guessing you're confused about what we were talking about."

The red head however had no idea what the two were talking about.

Pushing the red head down gently, the older man smiled at the two. "Well, don't you make a pair, eh?" He said with a slightly chuckly, glancing from his son to the shaking red head. The mood of the room slowly changed as the older male looked sternly at his son. "You know you should'nt have been out this late."
"I know..."
"You remember what happened as well as everyone else, it's more dangerous when you're out there on your own."

Skye nodded feebly. His breathing out of sync with his heart rate now. His whole body shaking.
Over the years he'd gotten so used to everything around him meaning him harm that he couldn't react as a normal human would in any circumstance.

Raising both hands in the air defensively, the older male smiled.
"I'm not going to hurt you." He said jokingly as he lowered his hands. Dark brown hair covered his head with a slightly fringe brushed behind his ear. Bright green eyes hid behind his thick rimmed glasses and a fluffy beard lay on his chin. The younger male smiled and waved.
"Hey dad."
The older male smiled back at his son and nodded in acknowledgement of the greeting.

As he felt the hand on his shoulder he jumped and pulled away quickly, his heart was racing in his chest and his expression, paniked.

Sighing slightly, the dark haired boy lent back in his chair.
A different person entered the room now, placing his hand on the red heads shoulder. "You must be the man he found, then?" The man said with a grin.

The red head shook his head, his red hair looked a bit like one of the Weasley twins from the Harry Potter films.
He continued to stand nervously, he hadn't been in any form of actual home in a long time.

Glancing at the red head, he offered him a seat. "You can sit, you know. You gotta be tired."

Skye looked at the photos, though it hurt to do so as it made him think of his family. Looking away he continued to look around the room he was currently in.
