To Kill A Mockingbird

Teh young male was tied down to the metal slab in Leiard's lab.

Carlos soon awoke, once again no memory of what had happened all he could remember was seeing Leiard. He had no idea where he was, as his eyes flickered open he glanced around.

The older man smirked and looked at the unconcious child on the floor being glancing at Skye.
"You know you're the percfect bait"

Skye just glared back, clearly very angry.

The sharp pain in his head forced the boy to grit his teeth and collapse to the floor, unconscious.

"Evening boy" the dark figure behind Carlos said as it hit the young boy around the head with a chair.

Narrowing his eyes slightly, Carlos looked completely bemused. "Huh?" He said, before turning to get a glance behind himself.

Skye winced as Carlos ripped the tape from his skin.
"L-L-Leiard....." he stuttered as he looked behind Carlos in fear.

"Where the heck have you been?" He asked worriedly, as he pulled the tape from over his mouth.

Seeing a large dark figure behind Carlos the boys eyes widened. Having his hands tied behind his back made it impossible for him to point out the danger to Carlos.

Hearing the slight muffle, Carlos turned and saw Skye. Smiling slightly, he began to walk over to him.

Although the boy had tape over his mouth he tried to speak, though it only came out badly muffled.

Peaking past the door, Carlos looked around slightly. "H-hello?"

The door opened with ease.
Hearing the door open the small boy who was huddled up in a corner looked up towards it.

Raising an eyebrow, Carlos carefully and quietly made his way to Leiard's lab. He pushed the door slightly to check if it was open.

A small whimper came from down in Leiard's lab.

Gulping in fear, Carlos walked into the building and closed the door quietly and began to look around. "Skye? You here?"

No answer came, but the door swung open.

Just the sight of it made Carlos' spine shiver, making his way to the door and knocked on it and reluctantly awaited an answer.

The house had an eerie feeling about it now, the garden hadn't been sorted out in a while, it was obvious by the overgrown look it had managed to gain. All the windows had curtains pulled across them.

Letting out a sigh, Carlos nodded, it wasn't like he could refuse. He stood up and walked out the door and out of the school, towards the house he had been told to check.

The headmaster took his time to process what Carlos had said.
"I'm going to call social services. I know this is alot to ask, but can you go see if they're still at their house?" he asked. His tone of voice more seirious than before.

Sighing deeply, Carlos didn't see any harm in telling the head master. "His brother had taken him to the hospital and when I saw him he had bandages around his head. I dunno what happened. He wouldn't tell me."

"Because you were the last person to see him" the head master said sterenly "At least tell me what sort of state he was in at that point."

"Why do think I know what's going on? I haven't heard from him for ages." Carlos said simply, trying not to get annoyed by any of the comments made by the head master.

"What happened? You said you were going to look after him didn't you? Then why is no-one answering the home phone. Also there are rumours Skye has moved..." the head master continued to blame Carlos and push him for answers.
