Jurassic Hijinks

Looking up at the lights as they began to flicker, the adult let out a grumble and covered his face once again.

The young boy tilted his head before looking up at the lights, not quite understand what was going on. Standing up he walked over to the lights, barely noticing that they were begining to flicker again.

The dark haired male continued to grumble as he pointed up at the lights fixed on the cell ceiling. "Them." He mumbled rather incoherently.

"Why you keep changing..." The boy asked slightly scared of the adult.

"Whaaaaat...?" Carlos grumbled as he opened his eyes and glared wearily at the red head.

The red head shook Carlos nervously, scared of what might happen.

Carlos lay still on the ground, his arm covering his head as he grumbled and rolled over.

Skye didn't notice untill he woke up several hours later and sat upright, looking at Carlos.
"... " He looked utterly confused

As the lights flickered off leaving the two in darkness, the fur on Carlos' body began to receed and his features turn back to their regular human shape.

A few hours later the lights finally switched off as the two slept, the young boycudled up to Carlos, mainly from fear.

The creature continued to breathe deeply as it slept, low mumbles and growls escaping it's mouth every so often.

All the while the boy had stayed in the shadow.

The beast spent two hours eating, before it was tired. Letting out a long yawn, it rested it's head on the carcass and began to doze off.

Skye didn't move untill he was completely out of the beasts shadow, realising it was the light that was causing the pain.

The scent of the rotting meat invaded the beasts nostrils. It's eyes flicked open and fixed themselves on the carcass. Heaving itself onto all fours, it began to weakly tear at the dead animals flesh.

The guards opened the door, placing the carcass of a cow in the cage before hurring out and locking the door.

The werewolf laid still on the floor, the only movement was it's chest rising and falling.

The boy winced but wasn't going to leave the thing to do. Whilst this was happening the woman watched. Grumbling she told her guards to fetch the werewolf some food.

The beast let out a weak growl and batted the boy away wearily with it's paw like hand.

The boy began to panic, knowing the signs weren't good, even at his age he could understand what was going. He shook the creature trying to keep it awake.

The beast continued to breathe heavily, it's chest sinking in as it exhaled. It's eyes slowly shut.

Skye felt sorry for it, he hadn't eaten either and new how the thing felt.

The creature continued it's whimpering as it slumped to the ground with a thud, resting it's head on the cold floor.

Nervously he lifted a hand and started to stoke the creature gently trying to comfort it in some way.

The truth was, the creature was in pain; weak and weary from lack of food. It's ears lay flat against it's head as it continued to whimper.
