To Kill A Mockingbird

"Just to clear things up, I mean no harm in any form although I have a short temper it will take alot for me to do anything I claim to want to do. My name is Veltan Bast" He stood up

Carlos merely sat in silence, unwilling to believe what he had been thrown into.

The man took a while to compose himself before starting up again.
"You've got alot to learn, not only yourself but Mr. Hitachen as well"

Once again, Carlos fell silent more with fear this time.

"A place called Aracia, don't go into the rant of how a place called that doesn't exist because I'll show you it and leave you there, maybe I'll be lucky and you'll freeze to death" He snarled, red eyes flashing dangerously.

"Then where are you from?!" Carlos half growled, also beginning to lose his patience.

"Don't be so foolish" He snapped, obviously loosing his patience "We're not from here"

Once again, the teenager shrugged and began to show his historical knowledge. "Well... Aztecs thought that could do stuff like that... And they were in Mexico."

It was pretty clear the man had a short temper and Carlos was begining to test its boundries.
"Boy you think people in Mexico can do what we can?"

The teenager shrugged again. "...Mexico?" He asked with an eyebrow raised, he couldn't think of a logical answer nor would he be willing to give an answer he believed to be stupid or unbelievable.

"Try using your imagination"

Carlos merely shrugged and gave a short reply; "I guess so. Where are you from? Eastern Europe?"

The man said nothing else about the issue but carried on from where he'd left off.
"You might have guessed but neither Skye, his brother, the fiancee and myself are from around here, you may also have noticed some rather... eye catching things" He said glaring at Skye as he did so.
Skye looked down at the floor, ashamed of himself.

The way Veltan had talked to him made the black haired teenager fall silent. Sighing deeply, he looked away though still listenning.

"Walk away, they find you and kill you. Those two being who they are they'll kill you slowly" He said bluntly, clearly unimpressed with how Carlos was acting "Don't be so childish, you saw how Skye's brother treated him, you think he'd let you slip by? I highly doubt it, now grow a back bone" He snapped

The teenager let out a growl, denying what Veltan had said. "If I don't want to be a part of this, I can walk away."

"You know of his brother by now, he's the least of your worries" He said, mainly speaking to Carlos "His fiancee is just as bad, possibly worse. Little do you know but you've walked into a scenario that is going to change your life, you can choose how it changes it but you can't walk away, not anymore, that chance passed a long time ago."

Carlos nodded in understanding and sat awaiting the older man to speak, as he continued to get comfortable.

Skye tried not to laugh as he noticed Carlos get comfortable, the man in front of the two merely rolled his eyes and leaned forward.
"This is important that you both listen very carefully to what I have to say"

((Cos he's a book worm ;D ... *imagines Veltan as a worm* LOL))

The dark haired male rubbed his arm nervously before sitting down in one of the seat opposite the silver haired male. Something about the library like room seemed cosy and rather calming to Carlos, slyly he snuggled up into the soft chair with a slight smile on his face.

The three stood in a large libary-like room. A large desk sat in the middle with chairs set around it, almost as if it had been prepared for them all. Slowly the new man walked towards the desk and sat behind it, signaling to the children to take a seat as well.
"I ought to explain some things to the two of you.. it may take some time for you both to fully understand but bare with me" He started

(( XD ok... I think it was beauty in the beast? The huge libary room where the books went all the way up the ceiling? Well XD Anyway XD that's what Veltan's study is like ;D ))

Stumbling through the other end of the vortex, Carlos looked around almost panickedly to see the new surroundings.

The silver haired male quickly ushered the two into the vortex without a second thought, closing it behind them as they went.

Recognizing the language rather quickly, he didn't have much time to think about it before he saw the swirling vortex in front of him clearly rather frightened of it.

As they left a shout could be heard from inside to stop them before they got any futher. Skye jumped and clung to Carlos' arm, terrorfied.
Sighing the man muttered something in Aracian, the language that Carlos had only ever heard Skye and Leiard speak. In front of the three of them the space seemed to rip open showing a large, grey, swirling vortex.
