Jurassic Hijinks

All of a sudden the people walking around stopped and stepped to the side to allow, what looked like, a troop of police through. Everyone suddenly went silent and all that could be heard was the thumping of feet against the street's pavement.

Running his fingers through his hair, he began to rub his head. How could everything change so drastically? He let out a deep sigh and began to imagine how insane he must sound when he talked about people changing the past.

Everything else seemed to be as it was before, minus all the demons and other strange looking creatures that could on occasion be seen.

Skye had slept in the park the whole night as was drenched through to the skin. Shivering he mumbled and tried to go back to sleep and ignore the sun light.

The sun rose through Carlos' window in the morning causing Carlos to wince and cover his eyes as it gave him a rude awakening. Giving a small mumble, he heaved himself out of the bed and stumbled down the stairs. He ignored his parents as he walked by and out the door, Vincent merely shook his head at his son in disappoint. The tall male wandered down the road and began to wander what else could've changed.

As Carlos sat on his bed Skye walked back to his house in the pouring rain with his hands in his pockets. The red head was incredably greatful for the rain seeing as no-one would be able to tell he was crying. In the same incident Carlos had lost Becki and Alex he'd lost Leiard and his mother because of that it had become increasingly hard for him to talk to Carlos when he was like that.
Skye had pushed his way through with the help of his dad, although his dad still hadn't recovered.

After a while Skye's legs just wouldn't walk anymore, he sat down in the city park and held his head in his hands and cried. He'd watched people get shot, stabbed and put on fire. Each time he shut his eyes all he could see were the faces of the people that died, it haunted him like there was no tomorrow.
Before the whole incident Skye would've more than willingly hung around with Carlos, but after he couldn't deal with the greif-ridden older male for longer than half an hour at the tops.

Carlos clenched his fists at this comment, he gritted his teeth. If that's how you're gonna treat someone who's lost the love of their life... It's no wonder they turn to drugs and alcohol. he thought to himself as he picked up a half empty bottle of alcohol and drank the remainder of it in one gulp. Slumping down on his bed, he dozed off with anger still coursing through his veins.

"WELL THEY'RE DEAD CARLOS. D.E.A.D. DECEASED! THEY'RE NOT COMING BACK!" Standing up Skye breathed heavily. "I'm going home..."
He looked out of the window to see it was raining.
"Great" he sighed as he left Carlos' room with is hands in his pockets and then out of the house.

"That wasn't meant to happen!" Carlos yelled angrily, clearly angered by the fact that Skye thought he was insane. "None of this was meant to happen! I'm supposed to still have my job and have a loving family!" Carlos now stood up and paced back and forth, running his fingers through his hair. The only reason he seemed insane was because of how annoyed he was getting that Skye wasn't willing to believe what he was saying. "... All I want is my wife and kid back..."

"Look. Carlos. Magic... doesn't... exist, it never has and never will ok? Stop making things up to make what happened easier for you! Everyone else has to suffer with it why not you?!" Is clearly upset and angry "Yeah ok! Becki died, so did Alex... you weren't there. I get it! YOU WERE LUCKY YOU WEREN'T THERE! ... being held hostage in school.. you'd gone on your lunch break.. some people broke in and started to demand things..."
The red head was shaking, he'd never spoken to anyone about what he'd seen.

Letting out a deep sigh, Carlos replied with a no. "I only remember how the future is supposed to be. My parents aren't even supposed to be alive and you're not supposed to be related to me."

Sighing the red head leant against a wall and slipped down to the floor.
"Do you really not remember a thing...?"

"I don't even know what we're talking about." Carlos said honestly. Nothing about his current state seemed anything like a drug addict or an alcoholic. It just seemed like perfectly normal human being.

"I'm not talking about it, you KNOW I hate talking about it..."

Sitting up, Carlos looked at the red head intently. "It does matter."

Skye sighed and shook his head.
"That doesn't matter... You just need to pick yourself up.."

Carlos glanced over at the red head, his eyebrow raised. "Why is this such a big deal to you?"

"Carlos.. please... can't you just be how you used to be? When you were my teacher? Before everything started to mess up... please..." it was obvious something was hurting the red head about as much as the death of Becki was hurting Carlos.

"If I am a druggie and an alcoholic it's not like I got long left to live anyway." He mumbled as he laid back on his bed and stared at the ceiling.

Skye opened the door and walked into the room.
"They're giving you another chance... just.. please don't mess this one up, I don't know how much longer I can keep your dad from killing you...."

Jumping slightly at the sudden noise, Carlos glanced at his door. "...Y-yeah..."

Skye knocked on the door.
"Carlos?....Can I come in...?"

A glimmer of a smile appeared on Vincent's face as Skye left the room. Despite what everyone downstairs probably assumed, Carlos was merely sat upstairs on his bed. Silent. Thinking about his wife, still in disbelief.

Skye smiled and hugged Vincent.
"I promise he'll stay off of them.. and thanks"
Letting go of Vincent he legged it up to Carlos' room.

Vincent looked away for a second before he uncrossed his legs with a sigh. "One more chance. If he doesn't sober up and get off drugs in a month, I'm calling the police."

"Please!" Skye was practically begging "One more chance, just one more.. I'll help him.. please just one more...."
